More than 300 people attended the seminar ?National and International Economic Situation: Competitiveness and Agricultural Perspectives for the 9th Region?.
More than 300 people attended the seminar "National and International Economic Situation: Competitiveness and Agricultural Perspectives for the 9th Region", which took place in Temuco and was organized by the Society for Agricultural Promotion (Sociedad de Fomento Agrícola - SOFO), the National Agricultural Society (SNA) and the "Revista del Campo".
The Agriquiculture Nutritional Genomic Center, CGNA, participated in this activity and presented participants with information about the contribution to development of science, with biotechnological tolls and new varieties of conventional crops with premium quality that contributes to generating value in the agro-industrial sector.
The seminar featured distinguished presenters such as the Minister of Economy, Pablo Longueira, who spoke about the national vision of the economy and the current policies of current government, and the former Minister of Finance, Andrés Velasco, who discussed the current international economic situation and its impact on the country.
Minister Longueira put special emphasis on the economic solidity of the country and stressed the commitment of the government to the development of innovation and competitiveness in the agricultural sector.
The regional perspective was addressed by presenters such as Cristóbal Borda, president of Molinera San Cristóbal; Juan Ignacio Allende, general manager of Exportadora Vital berry; and Christian Arntz, president of the National Federation of Meat Producers. René Araneda, the former Araucania Regional Representative of the Ministry of Agriculture and former General Secretary of SOFO, provided a view of agriculture from the public and associative perspectives.
