Research Interest

CGNA  has started a molecular initiative to generate several tools needed to facilitate the generation of modern L. luteus cultivars specific to current industry needs.

Within this framework, my work interest include the massive generation of sequences from the genome and transcriptome of L. luteus, development of molecular markers (SSR, SNPs, etc), characterization of genes involved in metabolic pathways related to nutritional grain quality of this crop, and study of the diversity contain in this legume species.

This, in conjuction with the construction of the genetic map of yellow lupin, has allowed us carry out comparative studies between L. luteus and model legumes such as Medicago truncatula and the exploration of microscale and macroscale synteny between both species.
